Psychotherapy is most productive with a framework around time, place, and payment.  These subjects are outlined in a Disclosure and Consent Form, which I will send to you via email once we have scheduled an initial appointment.  Prior to reaching out to me, you may wish to know about some logistics, including:​​​

  • Time:  Each session is for a duration of 50 minutes for individual psychotherapy, 75 minutes for couples, family, or group therapy.  Therapy is scheduled on a weekly, on-going basis unless we diverge from that cadence for therapeutic reasons.
  • Place:  My office is located at the Securities Building:  1904 Third Avenue, Suite 419, Seattle, WA  98101.  In case of a health or weather emergency, sessions will shift to Zoom/phone.
  • Fees/Insurance:  Payment is $180 per session ($270 for couples/family/group therapy) and is due at the time of each session.  I am "in-network" with Premera and Kaiser HMO and PPO plans.  For clients using "out-of-network" benefits, I create a receipt (called a Superbill) that can be submitted for insurance reimbursement.  Payment options include cash, personal check, and IvyPay (secure credit card payment portal).
  • Cancellation Policy:  I ask for two business days (48 business hours) be offered for cancellations (that means cancelling on a Thursday for a Monday appointment, etc).  In the event of a late cancellation for illness or other reasons, I ask for payment at the usual session rate and will make every effort to reschedule the appointment within 7 days. 
  • Other helpful tips:  Arriving a bit early to sessions and turning off electronic devices can help prepare you for our important work.  Please enjoy some tea and reflect a bit in the comfy waiting room.
