We often seek psychotherapy during times of transition, vulnerability, and heightened stress.  Clients that come to me tend to be motivated to engage in healing work: to understand underlying themes and history, to feel and self-reflect, and to consider shifts and changes in beliefs and behaviors.  I’m deeply interested in supporting each client to explore their potential for healing, self-acceptance, creative expression, and wholeness.  Therapy work may involve tracking patterns, building awareness about physical/emotional reactions, and exploring new possibilities for responding to stress.

In addition to verbal therapy, your healing work may include guided breathwork, exploring body awareness,  creating artwork, sharing dreams, and/or EMDR.  This process is deeply personal, has the capacity to be highly creative, and has the potential to increase your sense of well being, self-responsibility, and hope.  At the root of this relational approach to therapy is a trusting connection that is created with time and careful attention.

My practice is influenced and guided by the following theories and approaches to healing work: Developmental Theories of Art Therapy, Psychodynamic and Attachment Theories including Interpersonal Neurobiology, Polyvagal Theory (Regulation), Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, and Jungian Psychotherapy/Analysis.
